the Salon Show : Commons:
The Second Wednesday Salon
at the Thoreau Center 2007

The Second Wednesday Salon was created ten years ago when a group of
artists decided to hold regular meetings in a shared studio space. As in the spirit of historical gatherings of artists, such as the Stettheimer sisters in New York, this salon serves as a space for like minds to share the flow of ideas, inspire dialogue and encourage and celebrate collective creativity. Without a hierarchal structure, the group has evolved organically over the years, regularly meeting at studios, homes and locations throughout the Bay Area.
